The Allentown Jewish Community Center has something for everyone. From workout facilities, aquatics or basketball, to preschool, preschool plus or camp and programs for our "seasoned" seniors, we have something special just for you. The Jewish Community Center is a family oriented agency that provides social, educational, cultural and recreational programs that emphasize Jewish values. Tours of the facilities are available upon request. Membership is open to all.

CHILDREN'S SERVICES
Early Childhood Department & Children Services Programs provide opportunities for growth and development in a warm nurturing environment for children of JCC members.
Playcare:  Babysitting service for JCC members’ children 6 weeks through 5 years of age.
Preschool Plus: State certified and city licensed program for children 6 weeks through pre-school age.  Infants are stimulated through being held, rocked, talked to, played with, carried and taken for walks by our loving infant staff.  As your child grows, our program grows with them.  Preschool Plus offers a flexible, age appropriate theme-oriented program to compliment our preschool classes, including art’s & crafts, science, stories, gym, cooking, dance and music.  Part time and full time hours are selected on a school year summer basis.

Kinder Ked: Kinder KED is the JCC’s state and city licensed program for children attending kindergarten in the morning at a public or private school.  Our schedule includes the following specialties: music, gym, swimming, art, cooking, children’s choice, and computers, storytime, math and reading activities, and special holiday programming. 

JCC Connection: Enrichment program for elementary school age children.  We offer a variety of courses to select on a daily basis.  They include sports, arts & crafts, music, dance, drama, computers, reading clubs and homework helpers.  The JCC Connection also offers care on early dismissal, in-service, snow-days and school holidays and vacations.

Preschool: A comprehensive child-centered program for children ages 2 through 5.  This program emphasizes Jewish traditions and cultural values.

All Day Kindergarten: A comprehensive licensed, full day Kindergarten offers a creative child-centered Kindergarten dedicated to providing a superior educational experience.

Camp JCC: Camp JCC offers a fun outdoor camping experience in a warm, nurturing and supportive environment.  The campsite in Center Valley features 55 acres of wooded and rolling terrain complete with a large swimming pool, ball fields, tennis courts, street hockey, basketball courts, miniature golf, pavilions, air-conditioned lodge, and more.  There is something for everyone at camp with units developed especially for the children they serve.  Camp provides a safe, happy, and busy summer in a positive Jewish environment.  

JEWISH FAMILY EDUCATION & PROGRAMMING
The JCC Family Educator offers programming and resources for families with younger children & Jewish holiday workshops and family celebrations.  

Jewish Parenting Place:  Enjoy this comfortable space on the second floor to relax and explore on your own or with your children. The Jewish Parenting Place is used for parent and family programs and is open for your use by signing out a key at the JCC Front Desk. Toys and other resources are available for your use in the JPP. You are responsible to supervise your children in the Jewish Parenting Place.

Parent-Child Programs:  Participate in regular programs for parents/caregivers and younger children, including play groups, story times, Baby & Me, Shabbat & Me-Challah Days, Dad & Me and Holiday Parent-Tot Lunches. New programs are offered when interest indicates.

Jewish Holiday Family Programs:  The JCC offers family oriented programs to celebrate Sukkot, Chanukah, Tu B’shvat and Purim

Parent Programs:  We will be offering Jewish Holiday Preparation Workshops this year. Other parenting and Jewish parenting programs will be offered when interest indicates.

WOMEN'S AUXILIARY
With a membership of over 400, the Women’s Auxiliary financially supports the Allentown Jewish Community Center through fundraising activities and enriches women’s lives through social and educational programs and service to the community.

ADULT PROGRAMS: Adults of all ages enjoy coming to the JCC as a hub for a wide array of on-going and specially organized activities.  Fitness, Current Events, Short Story Discussion Groups, Adult Education Courses, Bridge Clubs, and other cultural arts programs including our Jewish and Israeli Films, and many clubs available are just some of the activities we offer in response to the interest of our members.  

FRIENDSHIP CIRCLE: Weekly luncheons with entertaining, educational and cultural programs and trips for adults 55+.

RECREATION SERVICES
The JCC’s Recreation Services Department provides exciting and diverse activities in the pool, gym and fitness center that create a fun and healthy atmosphere for children and adults alike. The JCC offers programs and services for all ages and skills. Your total needs are met: from young children (as young as 2) in parent/child classes to intramural sports leagues and organized sports teams to a wide range of adult activities including pick-up basketball,  yoga, aqua-aerobics, Israeli Dance and more.
