The Community Relations Council is a committee of the Jewish Federation that works to safeguard the Jewish community by advancing Jewish interests, promoting Jewish values and advocating on behalf of Jews at home and around the world. The CRC is the primary source of Israel advocacy in the Lehigh Valley, maintaining dynamic relationships with the local media and elected officials.
Additionally, they have coordinated and hosted interfaith dialogue and programs; adult, college and school-age educational programs; panels with timely, topical themes on politics -- local, national and international; and election forums.
The CRC organizes the annual community observance of Yom HaShoah and oversees the operations of the Holocaust Resource Center.
The JFLV co-sponsors Prejudice Reduction workshops for Middle and High School students in the Lehigh Valley and surroudning communities together with the Institute for Jewish Christian Understanding at Muhlenberg College.
