Community Event with Governor Tom Ridge draws crowd of 300

Amy and David Coleman were the Honorary Co-Chairs of the Special Donor Dinner preceding February 4th community program with Tom Ridge. The hugely successful event drew a crowd of more than 300. Amy is pictured here with the Governor and her father, Lary Bloom. Bloom and Ridge co-wrote the recently published "Test of Our Times: America Under Siege and How We Can Be Safe Again."
Ridge Spoke About Security Issues
Governor Ridge met with local media before taking the podium at the community program where he spoke for nearly an hour to an attentive audience. The program concluded with a question and answer session. Ridge's book was for sale at the end of the evening; he and Bloom met with audience members and signed copies.
Q&A Addressed Wide Range of Issues
After a lengthy presentation, Governor Ridge continued the program with a lively question and answer session moderated by Special Gifts Co-Chair Glenn Ehrich. Questions from the audience ranged from immigration to Guantanomo to profiling. He discussed his opionons on how our legal system should handle terrorists. The final question, asked if he was thinking about another presidential run in 2012. The question was met with applause and support, but he said he will remain active, campaign for others but would not run.
