Federations joined with mourners across the country following the tragic shooting that left nine dead at a Charleston, SC church. The director of the Federation-funded Secure Community Network warns about the increase in hate crimes over the past 10 years. An annual study shows that Americans donated over $350 billion to charity in 2014, the highest total in the report’s history. American Jewish actor Michael Douglas accepts the second annual Genesis Prize in Jerusalem.
