Privilege and oppression are more than trending words, but a significant, often invisible part of daily life.
In this conversation and experience, you will have the opportunity to look at your own identities as a tool for understanding people often perceived as “the other.” In this 90-minute session, we will explore the concept of being an ally or as personally meaningful ways of engaging in action to enhance your allyship.
Burgandy Holiday, LCSW is a Social Worker by training, and a psychotherapist in private practice. In addition to this, she has worked in various settings providing public speaking, education, advocacy and consultation for organization and institutional change. She has engaged in community building and “gentle activism,” coordinated Loving Day Celebrations and been a resource to her synagogue and wider community to support race and identity-based healing and reconciliation.
