for an evening with Dr. Janet Bond Brill

Thursday, October 29, 2026 at 5:30 p.m.

Chabad Lubavitch of Lehigh Valley
4457 Crackersport Rd, Allentown, PA 18104

"From Wellness to Witness"

Dr. Janet Bond Brill is the daughter-in-law of Edna Brill z”l, Allentown’s glamorous Jewish grandmother, a fixture in our community for over 60 years. Dig a little deeper into Edna’s past and you discover the courageous young “runner” who risked her life daily to sneak food past Nazi guards to starving Jews in the Warsaw Ghetto and to deliver messages for the Polish resistance. It’s a story of courage and sacrifice that Edna humbly kept quiet and that Bond Brill, an internationally recognized health author, shares in her new book, “Little Edna’s War: A True Story of Resistance and Hope.” In her talk to our community, Bond Brill brings this harrowing, inspiring Holocaust story to life, with scene after gripping scene from Edna’s struggle to save others’ lives while managing to survive the unthinkable herself.

Dinner will be served with dietary laws observed.

Please RSVP before October 15.

Additional book purchases will close on October 1.

Open to women pledging $1,800 or more to the 2027 Annual Campaign for Jewish Needs.
Each attendee will receive a complimentary copy of the book.

Following dinner, the community presentation begins at 7:15 p.m with a cost of $36 per person
(cost not applicable to Lions and Poms).
