Our Israel Emergency Campaign has now raised a total of more than $848 million and allocated close to $470 million. For details, click here.
The initial attack, which began as Jews in Israel were celebrating Simchat Torah, took the lives of at least 900 civilians and soldiers, as terror organizations in Gaza infiltrated Israeli towns and sent thousands of rockets into Israel. In a nightmarish reality, more than 100 Israelis were taken as hostages into Gaza including babies, women, the elderly, and soldiers, and we do not know their fate.
Whenever terror strikes in Israel, the Jewish Agency's Fund for Victims of Terror provides immediate assistance to victims, arriving with checks within 24-48 hours of an attack, and following up with long-term rehabilitative support. The fund is made possible by the generosity of the Jewish Federations of North America / United Israel Appeal, Keren Hayesod, foundations and donors from Israel and around the world and people like you.
Our aid is critical for victims’ immediate well-being and long-term recovery. Currently, resources are needed for hundreds of immediate grants of over $1,000 each for those directly affected by terror - the injured, the bereaved, people whose homes were destroyed or damaged. And unfortunately, we expect this number to increase.
The situation in Israel is very dire right now. We don’t know how long this war will last, how much the death toll will rise, or how it will end. But we do know the only way forward is together. Please give generously to support our emergency efforts and immediate aid for victims and their families. The people of Israel need our help today more than ever. Donate today.
