It's time for Debbie Friedman Shabbat!

Please join Congregation Bnai Shalom as we honor the 15th yahrzeit of singer/songwriter Debbie Friedman z’’l, which will be observed on January 22nd. One of the most prolific songwriters of our time, Debbie made Judaism more accessible by blending traditional liturgy with contemporary folk music. She taught at the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion, whose music school was later renamed in her honor.

This is an “All Debbie” service, using the liturgy she set to music and some of her other melodies for the rest. If you already know and love Debbie Friedman’s music or if you will be hearing it for the first time, you won't want to miss this!
