Don't let the UN Erase Judaism's Connection to Jerusalem!

The Palestinians, with key Arab support, are seeking to undermine the historical attachment of Israel and the Jewish people to Jerusalem.

A resolution at the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) would designate the Kotel (Western Wall), the sole still-standing remnant of the Temple in Jerusalem, as solely and exclusively an "integral part of the Al-Aqsa Mosque."

This resolution is a malicious lie brought forth on behalf of the Palestinians by Algeria, Egypt, Kuwait, Morocco, Tunisia and the United Arab Emirates. If passed it would be a systematic erasure and undisguised historical revision, robbing Jews of history and identity.

The Palestinian draft also condemns Israel for the measures taken by the Israeli security forces in the wake of the recent escalation in Israel and the West Bank and accuses Israel of violating the status quo on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. Israel strictly maintains the status quo on the Temple Mount and has no intention of changing it, as Prime Minister Netanyahu has repeatedly affirmed.

This is an outrageous anti-Semitic resolution against Israel, and our community cannot sit in silence as this key UN body denies our people's connection to the Jewish people's holiest site - and, in doing so, blatantly rewrites history, rejecting any notion of peace.

Please take action now and sign AJC's petition to UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokova.
