Jewish Federations are deeply troubled by the Texas federal court ruling on Mifepristone, a drug the FDA has deemed to be extremely safe and effective for over two decades.
This decision is counter to our policy priority that reproductive health should be protected and that everyone should be able to follow their personal religious beliefs on these matters without government interference.
As with the Dobbs ruling last summer, we are extremely concerned about the medical risks this decision poses, as well as the risks to FDA’s authority over medical approval processes more broadly.
