Prior to joining the Ministry Dr. Salmon served as deputy director of Hadassah Medical Center and of Barzilai Medical Center. During the COVID-19 crisis, Dr. Salmon has also been responsible for inter-ministerial coordination in the areas of travel, borders and national security, serving as the Ministry liaison with the National Security Council. A member of the National Health Council and the OECD Health Burea, Dr. Salmon is a clinical oncologist by training and holds the rank of Lt Colonel (res) in the military.
