Lee Kestecher Solomon

Lee Kestecher Solomon is the Director of Community Engagement for the Jewish Federation of the Lehigh Valley.

She arrived in the Lehigh Valley in September 2022, after serving as a community shlicha at Tanenbaum Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto, the largest Jewish high school in North America.

She was the coordinator of Israel-engagement student activities and Israel advocacy. Her role included planning and producing Israeli- and Jewish-themed activities and events for the school community. She also was in charge of recruiting volunteers for various programs and planned fundraisers for the community.

Lee was born and raised in Israel, to an Israeli father and an American mother, and grew up in a moshav (small agricultural town) called Bnei Zion in the center of the country.

During her army service in the Israel Defense Forces, she was a shooting instructor for two years and loved the experience of teaching and learning new skills from her peers.

After her service, she pursued a bachelor’s degree in special education and arts from Tel-Hai College and a master’s in organizational development and consulting from Bar Ilan University.
