What is the Maimonides Perpetual Annual Campaign Endowment?
The Jewish Federation of the Lehigh Valley offers several ways to participate in philanthropy, but one method that is uniquely dedicated to our community members in the medical profession is through the Maimonides Perpetual Annual Campaign Endowment, or MPACE.
MPACE is a charitable gift to the Jewish Federation that provides ongoing support for Jewish life. Different than an annual gift, MPACE allows you to endow your gift in perpetuity, ensuring your gift today has a long-lasting impact.
Benefits of MPACE
Supports Jewish life, including causes that are important to the donor
Provides a legacy for future generations
Includes recognition in our annual Maimonides Directory
Helps shape the Jewish future
How to create an MPACE
Donate cash, appreciated assets, or life insurance to the Jewish Federation
Name the Jewish Federation as the beneficiary of a retirement fund
Leave a charitable bequest in a will or living trust
Why create an MPACE
To strengthen the Jewish community
To guarantee a robust Maimonidies Society for the future
To make a commitment to sustaining Jewish life
To create a permanent resource for the Jewish community
For more information on the Maimonides Perpetual Annual Campaign Endowment and on how you can participate with a minimum donation of $22,000, contact Aaron Gorodzinsky, director of development for the Jewish Federation, at [email protected] or 610-821-5500.
“The idea is for members to continue their commitment to the ideals of the Maimonides Society for the duration,” says Dr. Lawrence Levitt, a founder of the society and the founder of the Lehigh Valley Health Network neurology department.
The Maimonides Perpetual Annual Campaign Endowment is getting up and running as the society looks forward to its 40th anniversary in 2026 as the first Maimonides Society in North America. Aaron Gorodzinsky, director of development for the Federation, was proud to be part of setting up the new endowment option with the three doctors. “With this endowment gift,” he said, “our founding members are ensuring that their work in creating the vision of the Maimonides Society is able to continue. It is meant to inspire other medical professionals in the area to join the division and continue honoring the principles on which the division was founded—providing quality health care and information to our Lehigh Valley Jewish community and beyond.”
