Federation Accepts Donations to Help with Cemetery Repairs After Vandalism

Less than a week after vandals desecrated a Jewish cemetery near St. Louis, knocking over 154 headstones and causing considerable damage, the same thing has happened closer to home outside Philadelphia.

On Feb. 26, more than 100 (some reports estimate upwards of 500) headstones were overturned at Mount Carmel Cemetery in the Wissinoming section in Northeast Philadelphia.

We are deeply saddened by these acts of vandalism. These hate crimes are dangerous and disheartening.

If you want to make a donation to help with clean up, repair and future security, please do so here. One hundred percent of the money donated will be directed to that effort.
