Alfred C. (Fred) Sussman, 88, of Allentown, passed away peacefully at his home on May 13, 2025.  He had been married to his high school sweetheart, Barbara (Kobrovsky) Sussman, for 66 years.  Fred was born on May 22, 1936 to Robert W. and Sue Sussman.  Fred was a great athlete playing basketball at Raub Jr. High as well as William Allen High and the JCC.  He graduated from the former Philadelphia Textile Institute in 1958 and worked in various local textile mills.  He also ran a small brokerage firm in the 1970-80’s with his brother-in-law, Stuart Kobrovsky.  Fred was a lifelong member of Temple Beth El, the JCC and past president of the Jewish Federation of Allentown.  He was involved in countless philanthropic and charitable organizations throughout the Lehigh Valley.  Fred was an avid golfer, and he and Barbara spent many winters in Scottsdale, Naples and Delray Beach, Florida.  He was a doting husband and a wonderful father, grandfather and great-grandfather.  Always kind and loving to everyone, he will be dearly missed.

Survivors: Loving Wife, Barbara; Devoted Daughters, Robin Amouyal (Philippe), Wendy Silverman (David), and Lisa Griffiths (David); Grandchildren, David (Kara), Michael, Max, Brett, and Flory; Great-Granddaughters, Hannah, and Juliette.  Also surviving Fred is his Sister Ethel Weisburd (Mort), his Nieces and many friends and relatives.  Thanks to Loving Caregivers, Amy, Sylvia, Sherry, Iris, Latiesha, China, Nicole and Compassionate Hospice Nurse Maria.

Services: Graveside Service, 11AM Friday May 16, 2025, at Beth El Memorial Park, Whitehall.  Arrangements by Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, Allentown.
